Celebrate Halloween safely at the Library's first-ever, drive-thru PUMPKIN PARADE. 20 families are invited to create a festive pumpkin and display them in the Library parking lot for all to see!
No registration is required to drive through, view and enjoy!
Enjoy a safe, socially distant holiday event and the pumpkin artistry of Clifton Park and Halfmoon residents as you drive through our parking lot and vote for your favorite pumpkins on display. Upon arrival, driver must be masked to receive a goody bag for each child in attendance, while supplies last! No exceptions.
Viewers will choose the winners in three categories: silliest, scariest, and most creative. Cast your vote as you leave the event.
For pumpkin artists: 20 entry ballots will be available at the Ask Desk beginning Saturday, October 3 on a first come, first-served basis. You may carve, paint, or decorate your live pumpkin. No candles allowed, please, except electric candles. Participants must provide their own stool, table, or box for display. Pumpkin artist category winners will be announced on Halloween and each receive an Amazon gift card.
In case of inclement weather, this event will be held virtually. Decision to switch to virtual program will be made by Saturday, October 24 and artists and public will be notified on social media. If this occurs, pumpkin artists can send a photo of their pumpkin by Monday, October 26 to cphreference@sals.edu. Photos will be posted on our Facebook page for judging and winners will be announced on Halloween, Saturday, October 31.
