Do you have a dog, a cat, or a fish? Some animals are traditional pets, but what about keeping a snake, lizard, bird, or even an opossum you find injured in your yard? Are you allowed to keep them?
Join Jamie, a wildlife rehabilitation specialist, and learn why keeping a wild animal as a pet is not a good idea. Meet some residents of Nature’s Nursery Rehabilitation Center and hear their story, learn what to do if you find a sick or injured animal, and how to choose the best pet for you and your family. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate.
This online program uses the Zoom live streaming platform. It will require access to a computer, mobile device with the Zoom app installed, and/or a phone for audio-only access. A short video on joining a Zoom meeting can be found here.
Please provide a valid email address to receive the Zoom meeting invite.
If you have not received an email with Zoom information at least one hour before the event, please email cphreference@sals.edu. Please do not try to join the Zoom meeting more than 10 minutes early.
