Join us for this fun reading competition! Students will compete to answer questions about five specific books, which they will be given in advance.
Join us for this first meeting of our Battle of the Books CPH Library Teams! We will create two Library teams that will read five books and then compete against each other on January 17, 2023. The winning team will move on to compete against the top team from each of the Shenendehowa elementary schools in March. This event is open to home, private, or public school students who live within the Shenendehowa School District. You may not be on both a Shenendehowa School Battle of the Books Team and a Clifton Park Halfmoon Public Library Team, as they will be competing against one another in the final battle.
All participants must be available on the following dates:
Welcome Meeting/Book Handout - November 15 from 6-7:30 pm
Team Meeting 2 - November 29 from 6-7:30 pm
Team Meeting 3 - December 13 from 6-7:30 pm
Team Meeting 4 - January 3 from 6-7:30 pm
Battle 1 Library Round - January 17 from 6-7:30 pm (Snow date is January 19th)
Winners of Round 1 will need to be available for the following dates:
Final Round Book Handout - January 19 all-day
Final Team Meeting 2 - January 31 from 6-7:30 pm
Final Team Meeting 3 - February 14 from 6-7:30 pm
Final Team Meeting 4 - February 28 from 6-7:30 pm
Battle 2 against the School Libraries - March 2 (Snow Date March 9)
