Battle of the Books 2026-2027
For students in grades 4 & 5

6:00pm - 6:40pm
Join us for a fun reading competition! Students will compete to answer questions about five specific books, which they will be given in advance.
Register to join one of the CPH Library Battle of the Books teams from October 13-November 9 and then attend the welcome meeting on November 10.
We will create two (or three!) CPH Library teams that will read five books and then compete against each other on January 12, 2027. The winning team will move on to compete against the top team from each of the Shenendehowa elementary schools in March. This event is open to home, private, or public school students who live within the Shenendehowa School District. You may NOT be on both a Shenendehowa school team and a CPH Library Team, as they will be competing against one another in the final battle.
All participants must be available on the following dates:
- Tuesday, 11/10/26
- Tuesday, 12/1/26
- Tuesday, 12/22/26
- Tuesday, 1/12/27 -- First Round Battle
- Wednesday, 1/13/27 -- First Round Battle [snow date]
Winners of Round 1 will need to be available for the following dates:
- Tuesday, 1/26/27
- Tuesday, 2/9/27
- Tuesday, 3/2/27
- Thursday, 3/11/27 -- Final Battle
- Thursday, 3/18/27 -- Final Battle [snow date]
